Problems solved by technology

Not only does it impair the capabilities of the system, but it also produces very high noise
Since, as mentioned above, the partially filled condition is significantly more frequent than the fully filled condition, the noise formation associated with this device is a greater problem

Embodiment Construction

[0020] figure 1 The device 1 shown in has an inlet 3 arranged as an inlet tank and mounted on a roof 14 (shown here only) to discharge water 2 from the roof top 15 . The inlet 3 has a circumferential collar 8 extending radially outwards substantially in the plane of the roof top 15 . For example a disc-shaped cover 10 is arranged above the inlet 3 , the disc-shaped cover 10 having a peripheral edge 42 and extending substantially horizontally at a distance from the collar 8 . The cover 10 is fixed by means (not shown here), whereby the distance between the collar 8 and the rim 42 of the cover 10 is fixed. A standard leaf filter (not shown here) can be arranged above the cover 10 . This prevents clogging of the annular channel 9 between the collar 8 and the cover 10 and prevents eg vanes from entering the inlet 3 .

[0021] The inlet 3 forms a channel-shaped interior 13 below the cover 10 into which water flows in the direction of the arrow 37 during rainfall. This water ent...

Abstract

The invention discloses a device for removing water from roofs. The device for removing water from roofs comprises an inlet (3) having an opening (4) for discharging water, wherein a cover (10) forms an annular orifice (9) through which water flows; at least one sound-dampening element (16-25) passes air into the water flow when being at a predetermined load or higher than the predetermined load, and controls suction of air through the annular orifice (9); and due to air supply, the water flow in the inlet (3), especially in a drain pipe (6) is stable even under the situation of local load, therefore reducing noise due to air turbulenece and vibration.

Description

[0001] The patent application of the present invention is a divisional application based on the Chinese patent application with the filing date of March 24, 2011, the application number of 201110071191.7, and the title of the invention "roof drainage device". technical field [0002] The invention relates to a roof drainage device comprising an inlet having an opening for the water to be drained through which the water can flow away and a cover forming an annular channel through which the water to be drained can pass The channel flows away; including at least one noise reducing element projecting into the inlet. Background technique [0003] Such devices have been known and used for a long time, especially for drainage of flat and gradually pitched roofs. A cover forming an annular channel allows a so-called closed flow. This flow creates a suction effect and thus the required higher capacity. The suction effect needs to completely fill the tank and drain. However, such f...
