The embodiment of the invention provides a thermal relay which comprises a bimetallic strip, a tripping mechanism and a drifting indicator, wherein the bimetallic strip is arranged for triggering the tripping mechanism to act by deforming when an ultra-heavy current flows by; the tripping mechanism is coupled with the bimetallic strip and is arranged for transferring the deformation of the bimetallic strip to a moving contact so as to cut off the contact between the moving contact and a static contact; the drifting indicator is arranged for detecting the drifting volume of the bimetallic strip and visually indicating the position of the bimetallic strip. The thermal relay according to the embodiment disclosed by the invention can utilize the drifting indicator to conveniently indicate the position of the bimetallic strip.
