A bimetallic strip is used to convert a temperature change into mechanical displacement. The strip consists of two strips of different metals which expand at different rates as they are heated, usually steel and copper, or in some cases steel and brass. The strips are joined together throughout their length by riveting, brazing or welding. The different expansions force the flat strip to bend one way if heated, and in the opposite direction if cooled below its initial temperature. The metal with the higher coefficient of thermal expansion is on the outer side of the curve when the strip is heated and on the inner side when cooled.

The invention provides an operating mechanism of a miniature circuit breaker, which comprises a housing, a handle and a static contact. The internal surface of the housing is provided with a handle shaft. The handle is sleeved on the handle shaft. The invention further comprises a transmission rod, a transmission component and an electromagnetic trip gear. The transmission rod is hinged with the handle and the transmission component. The transmission component comprises a lock latch shaft, a lock latch spring, a lock catch, a moving contact, a jumping latch and a jumping latch spring. The lock latch shaft is arranged on the internal surface and parallel with the handle shaft. The other parts is sleeved on the lock catch shaft in turn. The moving contact and the static contact are matched with each other. Novel surge protection device

The invention relates to a novel surge protection device which mainly comprises a breaking switch, a current sensor, a detecting and driving unit, a power source, a tripping mechanism, an electromagnet, a bimetallic strip, a lightning protection element, an upper terminal and a lower terminal. The upper terminal is connected with the breaking switch, the lightning protection element and the lower terminal in series. The current sensor can detect current conditions in a circuit and output signals to the detecting and driving unit, the detecting and driving unit drives the electromagnet by judging the characteristic of detected currents, the electromagnet can drive the tripping mechanism to move, and therefore a whole SPD access is switched off. The detecting and driving unit is connected with the power source. The temperature of the lightning protection element is transmitted to the bimetallic strip through a heat conduction paster, and when the temperature is too high, the bimetallic strip can be deformed to drive the tripping mechanism to move, and the circuit is switched off. The novel surge protection device has the comprehensive lightning preventing function, power frequency short-circuit currents can be switched off fast, tripping can be carried out when leakage currents are too high, lightning currents are discharged smoothly, and the novel surge protection device is convenient to mount, safe and effective.

A sensor for quantitative test electromechanical properties and microstructure of nano-materials and a manufacturing method for the sensor are provided. The sensor comprises a suspended structure, pressure-sensitive resistor cantilevers, support beams, bimetallic strip and other components. When the bimetallic strip produces bending deformation, one of the pressure-sensitive resistor cantilevers is actuated and then stretches the low-dimensional nano-materials which drive the other pressure-sensitive resistor cantilever to bend. Through signal changes are outputted by the Wheatstone bridge, the variable stresses of low-dimensional nano-materials are obtained. Meanwhile, the variable strains of low-dimensional nano-materials are obtained by the horizontal displacements between two cantilevers, so the stress-strain curves of low-dimensional nano-materials are worked out. When the low-dimensional nano-materials are measured in the power state, the voltage-current curves are also obtained. In addition, by the help of high resolution imaging system in the transmission electron microscopy, the mechanical-electrical-microstructure relationship of the nano-materials can be recorded in situ and in atomic lattice resolution.

The invention relates to a triggering part of a tripping protection system of a low-voltage breaker, in particular to a low-voltage breaker tripper, belonging to low-voltage power transmission and distribution equipment.
