Changes of the cooling efficiency of the EGR cooler are judged through the high-temperature environment and the low-temperature environment where the EGR cooler is located, the degradation coefficients of the EGR cooler are judged, the NOx emission degradation coefficients are determined according to the degradation coefficients of the EGR cooler, the fuel oil injection amount or the gas inlet amount is corrected based on the NOx emission degradation coefficients to adjust original engine emission, and therefore the emission influence brought by cooling efficiency reducing of the EGR cooler is effectively controlled. The method and the EGR system are beneficial to improving product emission consistency.
