The invention provides a chatting robot and an automatic chatting method thereof. The chatting robot comprises a preprocessing module, a feedback inquiry module and a similarity operation module, wherein the preprocessing module is used for preprocessing user chatting information acquired by an interactive platform; the feedback inquiry module is used for inquiring matched feedback fields from a knowledge base according to key words obtained by the preprocessing module and feeding back feedback information to the interactive platform according to the acquired feedback fields and logical action general knowledge in the knowledge base; the similarity operation module is used for calculating similarity between the user chatting information and questions stored in a question and answer base according to an inquiry result of the feedback inquiry module and feeding back feedback information corresponding to relevant questions to the interactive platform according to a calculation result. In a dialogue process, question matching is performed by the knowledge base, if the question matching succeeds, the corresponding feedback information is returned, and otherwise, the feedback information with the highest similarity is obtained according to the question and answer base and fed back to a user, so that reliability of the chatting robot is guaranteed.
