Abstract

The invention discloses a spatio-temporal data based moving object similarity calculation method and system. The method is to discover similarity of moving objects by mainly utilizing the track data of the moving objects such as pedestrians and users based on information such as positions and paths of the activities of the moving objects. The spatio-temporal data based moving object similarity calculation method comprises two parts as follows: the first part of sequencing spatio-temporal tracks by utilizing a pre-defined activity hotspot and converting an original track point sequence into an activity sequence; and the second part of discovering an activity rule of the moving objects by utilizing the activity sequence of the moving objects obtained in the first part and further calculating the integral activity habit similarity of the moving objects. The system comprises three modules as follows: a track data uploading module, a track sequencing module and a moving object similarity calculation module. The spatio-temporal data based moving object similarity calculation method and system have wide application foreground in multiple fields such as precise advertisement recommendation, intelligent traffic management and urban position service.
