The air humidity regulator further comprises a humidification component connected with the processor, a dehumidification component connected with the processor, a water tank connected with the humidification component and the dehumidification component, a pipeline switch connected with the controller and used for enabling a pipeline port to be switched to be connected with the humidification component or the dehumidification component, and the pipeline port connected with the pipeline switch. The control method comprises the steps that a dehumidification starting instruction is determined, and on the condition that the pipeline port is connected with the dehumidification component, the dehumidification starting instruction is transmitted to the dehumidification component, so as to enable the dehumidification component to start dehumidification work; and a humidification starting instruction is determined, and on the condition that the pipeline port is connected with the humidification component, the humidification starting instruction is transmitted to the humidification component, so as to enable the humidification component to start humidification work. According to the air humidity regulator, both the humidification work and the dehumidification function can be realized, so that the resource utilization rate can be raised.
