Abstract

The invention provides a converter valve routine testing circuit and a testing method thereof. The converter valve routine testing circuit comprises a power supply, a load reactor L, a first bridge arm and a second bridge arm. The first bridge arm consists of m MMC sub-modules which are connected in series. The second bridge arm consists of n MMC sub-modules which are connected in series. The load reactor L is connected between the first bridge arm and the second bridge arm. The output terminal of the power supply has m pairs of independent output ports which are respectively connected to each sub-module capacitor of the first bridge arm for charging the first bridge arm. The converter valve routine testing circuit solves a problem that the prior art adopts two MMC sub-modules to constitute a half-bridge back-to-back mode to perform an electrical performance test on the MMC valve and the half-bridge back-to-back mode test is low in efficiency and high in wastage of the IGBT device switch. The invention adopts a double-bridge-arm back-to-back main circuit topology containing multiple sub-modules. One test can perform routine tests on multiple MMC sub-modules, improves test efficiency and satisfies the batch testing requirements of the engineering.
