Problems solved by technology

[0018] The problem is that several people are involved in follow mode in scenarios such as family walks or mountaineering with friends, during which commemorative images need to be captured by drone, taking into account the presence of different people other than the main user to manage the presence of these other Presence of the user, for example by shifting the windowing software program's viewfinder so that the windowing software program not only shows the main user but also other people moving with the user

Embodiment Construction

[0048] An exemplary embodiment of the present invention will now be described.

[0049] exist figure 1 In , reference numeral 10 generally refers to an unmanned aerial vehicle, which is, for example, a quadrotor helicopter such as the Bebop of Parrot SA. This UAV comprises four coplanar rotors 12 whose motors are independently steered by an integrated navigation and attitude control system. It is equipped with a front camera 14 that allows to obtain an image of the scene the drone is facing, such as a high-definition wide-angle camera equipped with a fisheye-type hemispherical field of view lens covering a field of view of about 180°, resulting in a sensor of 14 megapixels (4608x 3288 pixels) resolution raw image and then windowed in real-time on the HD image (1920x 1080 pixels, or 2 megapixels), where the video stream refresh rate is 30fps (frames per second).

[0050] The drone 10 is manipulated by a remote control device 16 (hereinafter referred to as "terminal"), such as...

Abstract

A primary user terminal (16-1) is interfaced with the drone (10) so as to constitute a local network of the infrastructure type, where the drone is configured as an access point (AP) and the primary user terminal is configured as a mobile station (STA). The primary user terminal comprises an adaptive software program able i) to generate piloting and control instructions to be transmitted to the drone, and ii) to establish a connection to the local network and to register the primary user terminal into a registration table of the drone. The network further comprises at least one secondary userterminal (16-2; 16-n) with an applicative software program adapted to establish a connection to the local network and to register the secondary user terminal into the registration table of the drone with a hierarchized management of the rights with respect to the primary terminal.

Description

technical field [0001] This invention relates to video capture of operations from motorized flying equipment such as drones. Background technique [0002] A typical example of a flying drone is the Bebop of Parrot SA in Paris, France, which is a four-propeller type rotor drone. [0003] Such drones are equipped with an array of sensors (accelerometers, three-axis gyroscopes, altimeters, etc.) as well as front-facing cameras that capture images of the scene the drone is pointing at. They can be advantageously passed through a touchscreen multimedia phone or tablet with an integrated accelerometer, such as an iPhone-type smartphone or an iPad(registered trademark) tablet, with the ability to remotely transmit the image captured by the drone's front-facing camera for viewing by the user. The possibility to visualize them in real time on the screen of this remote control held by you. This is standard equipment unmodified, except for the loading of application software programs...
