Abstract

The invention relates to a method for controlling an automated friction clutch for a powertrain comprising an internal combustion engine and a transmission by means of an actuator that actuates the friction clutch along an actuation path (L_Act). A clutch torque to be transmitted via the friction clutch is adjusted by way of an associated actuation path (L_Act) and a correlation of the clutch torque and the actuation path is continuously adapted on the basis of characteristic values of at least one sampling point and of a friction coefficient of the friction clutch, which characteristic valuesare continuously determined. The characteristic values are adapted by means of correction variables on the basis of a clutch model (3) which calculates the correction variables at least depending onthe engine torque of the internal combustion engine and an internal combustion engine slip. In order to avoid or at least reduce erroneous adaptations of the friction coefficient during slip of the friction clutch the friction coefficient is adapted at least by means of the correction variable which depends on the damping occurring during slip of the friction clutch.
