Embodiment Construction

[0105] The embodiments of the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described here are only used to explain the embodiments of the present invention, rather than to limit the embodiments of the present invention. In addition, it should be noted that, for the convenience of description, the drawings only show some but not all structures related to the embodiments of the present invention.

[0106] refer to figure 1 , figure 1 It is a schematic flowchart of a beam training method provided in an embodiment of the present invention.

[0107] Such as figure 1 As shown, the method for beam training includes:

[0108] Step 101, the mobile terminal generates S=log 2 K-level beamforming codebooks, each generated codebook contains 2 s Each codeword can cover the range of direction angles, and the highest layer S contains K codewords. The codewords in differ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a beam training method and device. The method comprises the following steps that: a base station generates an S=log<2>K-level beam forming codebook; a mobile terminal is already synchronized with the base station, and accessed to the base station; the base station transmits a first downlink signal to the mobile terminal, wherein the first downlink signal is used for instructing the mobile terminal to perform downlink beam training; and the base station receives an uplink beam training reference signal sequence for uplink beam training transmitted by the mobile terminal, and performs uplink beam training according to the uplink beam training reference signal sequence. Two efficient beam training algorithms are given based on hierarchical codebooks of the base stationand a UE (User Equipment) side. The training overhead is reduced by mean of the spatial reciprocity of a millimeter wave channel. At the same time, different demands of different services are considered, and a training process can be adjusted flexibly.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communication, and in particular, to a beam training method and device. Background technique [0002] Due to the abundant bandwidth and frequency resources in the millimeter wave band, millimeter wave communication can achieve ultra-high data transmission rates. In order to combat the high path loss of high-frequency carriers, it is necessary to use large-scale antenna arrays to form high-gain directional beams to achieve sufficient link budget. Therefore, the combination of millimeter waves and large-scale antennas has become a key technology for the fifth generation of mobile communications. [0003] In order to obtain accurate transmit and receive beamforming vectors, it is necessary to search for optimal transmit and receive beamforming vectors through beam training. When the frequency is relatively high and the array is relatively large, the formed beam gain is higher, the bea...
