Abstract

The invention discloses a cluster storage system comprising a main CMC, a standby CMC, a plurality of controller nodes and a plurality of BMCs, wherein each controller node is connected with an independent BMC; the main CMC and the standby CMC keep data synchronization through a preset link, and the plurality of controller nodes are connected to the main CMC and the standby CMC, respectively. TheBMC obtains the chassis information of the controller node and feeds back the chassis information to the main CMC; the main CMC judges whether the controller node fails according to the chassis information, and if so, notifies the standby CMC to take over the controller node through the preset link. In this way, the CMC is used for replacing the internal switch to reduce the equipment cost of thecluster storage system; and as the standby CMC is set, when the controller node is faulty, the other CMCs are switched to take over the controller node so as to achieve the redundancy and high availability of the multi-control storage system.
