The electric opening-closing drive mechanism for the automobile tail gate comprises a motor, an electromagnetic clutch, a speed reducer, a loading plate, a support rod and a swing arm, wherein the motor, the electromagnetic clutch and the speed reducer are assembled on the loading plate; an output endof the motor is connected with an input end of the speed reducer; one end of the support rod is hinged with the tail gate; one end of the swing arm is connected with an output end of the speed reducer; the other end of the swing arm is hinged with the other end of the support rod; the electromagnetic clutch comprises a dynamic disc, a stator disc, and an electromagnetic coil for enabling the dynamic disc and the stator disc to close so as to produce force transmission after being electrified; the dynamic disc is assembled on one side of a first transmission gear and rotates along with the first transmission gear; the dynamic disc is of a separated structure; the stator disc is assembled on a first transmission shaft and rotates along with the first transmission shaft; and a following geardisc rotating along with the stator disc, and a speed measuring gear meshing with the following gear disc are fixedly arranged on the stator disc.
