Abstract

The invention discloses a performance testing method and a performance testing device for a network forwarding device, wherein the method is applied to the testing device, the testing device comprisesa client side and a server side, the client side is realized by a CPU running in a first subarea, the server side is realized by the CPU running in a second subarea, and the method comprises the following steps: a first CPU is determined based on a RSS algorithm and according to tetrad information of a preestablished first message, wherein the first CPU transmits the first message to a to-be-tested device, and the to-be-tested device forwards the first message to a second CPU; the second CPU processes the first message based own session table of each core, transmits the second message preestablished based on the first message to the to-be-tested device, and the to-be-tested device forwards the second message to the first CPU; the first CPU processes the second message based on own sessiontable of each core; and a performance testing result of the to-be-tested device is determined according to states of the first message and the second message. According to the method and the device provided by the invention, transmitting and receiving of the messages are executed through simulation of communication connections in two directions interacting with the network forwarding device, andfinally, performance test of the network forwarding device is realized based on a software.
