The invention discloses a method for realizing frequency hopping synchronization based on time information, comprising the following steps of: truncating TODh (formerly 25 bits) to 12 bits with 6 bitsin minutes and 6 bits in seconds; and when the receiving end receives the TODh of the originating end, making a decision with the local TODh: correcting the local TOD information by using the information of the originating TOD when the TOD value error of the originating end and the receiving end is less than the tolerance value. Compared with the prior art, the positive effect of the invention isthat: the invention adopts a novel truncated TOD structure and recovery processing algorithm, and only sends the most basic information: the value of minutes and seconds, thus reducing the time and number of bits of the information transmitted in space, saving resources, and reducing the chance of being disturbed. In addition, the remaining bits may also be used to transmit other system control information or synchronization information.
