Abstract

The invention provides a microdot actuator. Examples of devices, systems, and methods for microdot actuation are disclosed. In one example, a plurality of microdot actuators is bonded to a transparentdisplay and each microdot actuator is partially or fully transparent. In various examples, a microdot actuator can have a lateral size between 5 and 10 microns. As examples, a microdot actuator may be a microdot electroactive polymer (EAP) actuator or a microdot piezo-ceramic actuator.
