The invention discloses a solar streetlamp with the function of shielding a solar panel from rain. The solar streetlamp comprises a lamp pole, an LED lamp mounted on the upper side of the lamp pole, arain shielding box mounted at the top of the lamp pole, the solar panel mounted on the lamp pole and located between the LED lamp and the rain shielding box, a rainwater sensor arranged at the top ofthe rain shielding box, a rain shielding plate capable of stretching out of or retracting into the rain shielding box, an accumulator electrically connected with the solar panel, and a driving mechanism connected with the rain shielding plate. The driving mechanism is arranged in the rain shielding box and electrically connected with the rainwater sensor and the accumulator. During raining, the rainwater sensor sends a signal to the driving mechanism after detecting rainwater, the driving mechanism drives the rain shielding plate to stretch out of the rain shielding box so as to shield the solar panel from the rain, and the situation that the solar panel is caught in the rain and consequently damaged is avoided; and thus, compared with the prior art, the solar streetlamp has the advantagethat the solar panel is not liable to be caught in the rain and damaged.
