The method comprises the first step of adjusting mechanical arms of engineering machinery to enable the extending direction of a designated boom of the engineering machinery to be parallel to the direction of guide laser; the second step of acquiring relative positional relationship data of the designated boom with the mechanicalarms among an engineering machinery body and guide laser attitude data of the guide laser to determine attitude data of the engineering machinery body based on the relative positional relationship data and the guide laser attitude data. According to the method, the designated boom is parallel to the guide laser, thus the guide laser is utilized to determine the attitude of the designated boom ina tunnel space coordinate system to further determine the attitude of the engineering machinery body in the tunnel space coordinate system according to the relative positional relationship between thebooms. The method has lower requirements for measurement environment, so that the adaptability of the whole system can be effectively improved, and the system and method can be applied to many severeconditions.
