Abstract

The invention discloses a train control method and system and a vehicle on-board controller (VOBC). The train control method comprises the steps of enabling an automatic train protection system (ATP)operating in the VOBC to transmit train running state information to an automatic train operation system (ATO) operating in the VOBC; receiving train control information transmitted by the ATO, wherein the train control information is calculated by the ATO according to the train running state information; and transmitting the train control information to a train so that the train runs according tothe train control information. According to the train control method and system and the VOBC, the on-board ATP and the ATO can be combined into one set of hardware equipment to run to reduce hardwareresources occupied by the ATP and the ATO; and moreover, the ATP and the ATO are connected with a vehicle through the same vehicle interface to reduce vehicle interfaces; and through adoption of a communication interface between the ATP and the ATO, the hardware wiring complexity and project cost are greatly reduced.
