The identification method comprises the following steps: obtaining a to-be-identified statement containing address information, and taking a part in front of a first number or letter in the to-be-identified statement as a first segment; segmenting the first segment for multiple times toobtain a plurality of segmented chains, wherein each segmented chain comprises a plurality of to-be-determined nouns; searching a preset address dictionary for a probability corresponding to each nounto be determined, and obtaining a probability sum of the segmentation chains; taking the segmentation chain with the maximum probability and the maximum sum as an optimal segmentation chain, and determining a to-be-determined noun of the optimal segmentation chain as a place noun; and obtaining administrative address information according to the address hierarchy corresponding to the place nounsof the optimal segmentation chain. Therefore, the probability and the maximum segmentation chain are taken as the optimal segmentation chain, and the address information is obtained according to the place nouns of the optimal segmentation chain, so that the structural degree of the to-be-identified statement does not affect the identification accuracy in the natural language processing and identification process, and the identification accuracy is improved.
