Abstract

The invention discloses a pretreatment method for direct mass spectrometry detection of n-pentane in exhaled air. In this method, the online Nafion dehumidification system and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine silica gel column (DNPH) are used together to pretreat the exhaled breath samples in the sampling bag for the direct mass spectrometry detection of n-pentane in the exhaled breath. The online Nafion dehumidification system includes a Nafion tube, a casing for the circulation of the purge gas and the purge gas; one end of the Nafion tube is connected to the outlet of the sampling bag, the other end is connected to the DNPH silica gel column, and the other end of the DNPH silica gel column is connected to the mass spectrometer connected to the injection port of the instrument.
