The invention provides a workflow task scheduling method and system for distributed cloud and the method comprises the following steps: obtaining unscheduled tasks, instead of unscheduled tasks, froma workflow, and enabling the unscheduled tasks to serve as to-be-scheduled tasks; calculating the deadline of each to-be-scheduled task and the completion time of each virtual machine on the public cloud, and allocating each to-be-scheduled task to a to-be-scheduled task set of the virtual machine of which the completion time is less than and closest to the deadline of the to-be-scheduled task; and scheduling the to-be-scheduled task with the completion time closest to the deadline in the to-be-scheduled task set of each virtual machine to the corresponding virtual machine. According to the technical scheme. the dependency among the tasks and the completion time of the unscheduled tasks on the virtual machine are fully considered when the unscheduled tasks are scheduled to the virtual machine on the public cloud, so that the execution efficiency of the unscheduled tasks on the virtual machine is improved, and the problem of relatively low efficiency of a task scheduling method in the prior art is solved.
