Problems solved by technology

These systems are very prone to wear, especially those made of synthetic materials, which are relatively thick and therefore uncomfortable, and have the additional disadvantage that the chain lengths are distributed in discrete ways, i.e. at discrete positions adjustable, meaning that its length cannot be adjusted properly to the diameter of the wearer's wrist
Alternatives have been proposed, such as chains with magnetic or snap-on fasteners, which allow for more flexible adjustments, but are often heavy and difficult to work with, and / or require complex and expensive manufacturing methods
Furthermore, the buckles and deployable clasps have a considerable thickness, which in some cases may be greater than the thickness of the watch they are mounted on, detracting from the aesthetic appearance and possibly comfort of the watch

Embodiment Construction

[0013] figure 1 shows two straps 1 and 2 of a fob according to a non-limiting embodiment of the invention, Figure 6 A wristwatch 20 with the chain attached is shown. These strips are substantially flat and flexible, and are provided with two for securing watch case 21 ( Figure 6 ) attachment 3. To fasten the chain, the user covers a part of one strap (called "upper strap" 2 ) with another strap (called "lower strap" 1 ). The lower strip 1 has two grooves 4 parallel to each other and extending substantially over the entire length of the interaction surface of the lower strip 1 and the upper strip 2 . Said upper strip 2 comprises two protrusions 5 extending substantially over the entire length of the interaction surface with the lower strip 1 , preferably in a continuous manner, forming two substantially parallel track sections. The protrusions 5 are positioned and formed so that when the user applies pressure on the overlapping portion of the straps to secure the lower an...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a bracelet. The bracelet includes two strands (1, 2) provided with a fastening system which includes at least one longitudinal groove (4) on one of the two strands andat least one longitudinal protuberance (5) on the other strand. The material and the shape of the groove and of the protuberance are configured such that these two elements interlock under pressure exerted by the bracelet user, over two overlapping portions of the bracelet strands (1, 2). The connection between the strands (1, 2) can easily be separated, preferably by peeling the upper strand (2)away from the lower strand (1). The bracelet is continuously adjustable in length, without requiring heavy or complex elements.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a chain fastening system, in particular for flexible chains made of synthetic material, for example for watch straps or jewelry chains. Background technique [0002] Watch straps or chains provided with buckles or deployment clasps have long been known. These systems are very prone to wear, especially those made of synthetic materials, which are relatively thick and therefore uncomfortable, and have the additional disadvantage that the chain lengths are distributed in discrete ways, i.e. at discrete positions adjustable, which means that its length cannot be adjusted properly to the diameter of the wearer's wrist. Alternatives have been proposed, such as chains with magnetic or snap-on fasteners, which allow for more flexible adjustment, but are often heavy and difficult to use, and / or require complex and expensive manufacturing methods. Furthermore, the buckles and deployable clasps have a considerable thickness, which in so...
