The method comprises the following steps: extracting characteristic pixel points on a section profile intersection line generated by intersection of each non-parallel light plane and a steel rail in a to-be-detected steel rail intersection line image; according to the camera parameters and the first optical plane parameter values, calculating coordinate values of the feature pixel points of the corresponding intersecting lines under a camera space coordinate system, and based on collinear constraints and parallel constraints satisfied by the feature pixel points, calculating other optical plane parameter values; fitting the longitudinal direction of the steel rail by utilizing the camera space coordinate values of the same type of characteristic pixel points and constructing a projection auxiliary surface vertical to the longitudinal direction of the steel rail; and reconstructing an initial section profile of the steel rail to be detected according to the space coordinate values of all the extracted feature pixel points in the camera, and projecting the initial section profile to a projection auxiliary surface, thereby effectively correcting profile distortion in the section profile of the steel rail detected by adopting a linestructured light vision method.
