Abstract

An emission control system for gaseous and non-gaseous pollutant emissions is disclosed that includes a fluidized bed device containing a reactive sorbent material. The reactive sorbent material can be a CZTS, CZTS alloy or CZTS mixture sorbent material. The fluidized bed unit is configured with one or more closed loop sorbent recirculation subsystems. The sorbent recirculation subsystem includes the following functions: separating sorbents from each other, separating sorbents from contaminants for disposal and / or recycling, cleaning and / or regenerating sorbents for return to the fluidized bed unit, treating waste and depleted sorbent, and replace spent and depleted sorbent with new sorbent to maintain consistent sorbent function in the fluidized bed unit.
