Abstract

The present invention discloses an application of spermidine in preparation of medicines for treating colitis. A mouse colitis model is constructed in a model mouse, a phenotypic effect of the spermidine on mice with the colitis is studied, and the spermidine alleviates mouse inflammation-related phenotypes of weight loss, colonic shortening, hematochezia, etc.; a cell inflammatory state stimulated by TNF-alpha is constructed in human colon cancer cells in vitro, and after a spermidine treatment, inflammatory signaling pathway protein expression and downstream gene expression are obviously improved. To sum up, the spermidine improves the phenotype of the inflammation in vivo and also further proves an effect on inhibiting the inflammation through in-vitro cell experiments at a molecular level.
