Problems solved by technology

[0009] As unlicensed cells (e.g., autonomous or LAA) operating in unlicensed or shared spectrum may be subject to LBT procedures, control flow management procedures designed around predetermined timing for dedicated spectrum may be subject to unpredictable timing variations
Additionally, unlicensed or shared spectrum may have additional constraints imposing limits on transmission power or duration, which may impact control flow management for unlicensed cells

Embodiment Construction

[0083]The described features generally relate to improved systems, methods, or apparatus for control flow enhancements for LTE-U operation. These techniques include control flow processing (including ePDCCH processing, aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting, DRX operation, and extended TTI at the end of the transmission burst) for floating TTI operation in unlicensed cells. enhanced. The described techniques also include reference signal configuration for unlicensed cells, processing of joint grants of multiple unlicensed cells, ePDCCH processing of partial subframes, and enhancements to multi-channel DRS operation.

[0084] Aspects of the disclosure were initially described in the context of wireless communication systems. Specific examples of control flow enhancements for LTE-U operation are described later. These and other aspects of the present disclosure are further illustrated and described by and with reference to apparatus diagrams, system diagrams, and ...

Abstract

The present invention discloses a control flow enhancement method and device for unlicensed LTE. Aspects include the enhancement of the control flow processing for the floating TTI operation for the unlicensed cells, including the ePDCCH processing, aperiodic CSI reporting, DRX operation, and the extended TTIs at the end of a transmission burst. The described aspects also include the enhancement for reference signal configuration for the unlicensed cells, the processing of joint grants for multiple unlicensed cells, the ePDCCH processing for partial subframes, and the multi-channel DRS operation.
