Abstract

The invention provides a lip image segmentation device and method for traditional Chinese medicine face diagnosis. The method comprises the following steps: inputting different face sample images to construct a positive and negative sample set; extracting an LBP feature vector based on the positive and negative sample sets; training the LBP feature vector by adopting an Adaboost classifier to obtain a classifier for detecting a lip region containing a nose tip; inputting a to-be-detected face image, and detecting a nose tip lip region by using the trained classifier; performing red color gamutenhancement preprocessing on the detected nose tip and lip area to obtain a grey-scale map containing a nose tip and a lip; performing binarization processing on the grayscale image to obtain a binary image, and solving projection curves corresponding to all black pixel points in the width direction of the binary image; generating a rectangular frame for positioning a lip area based on the projection curve; and taking the rectangular frame for positioning the lip region as a GrabCut labeled rectangular frame, and segmenting a lip image from the nose tip lip region by utilizing the GrabCut labeled rectangular frame.
