The invention discloses a sales prediction method and system capable of elastically adapting to noise. The method comprises the steps: obtaining historical sales data of a to-be-predicted product, andcarrying out preprocessing; carrying out feature extraction and feature selection on the preprocessed historical sales data; carrying out elastic error calculation on the selected features, wherein the elastic error calculation comprises error function and piecewise error calculation of a machine learning model; introducing the elastic error calculation into the machine learning model, and training the machine learning model by using the preprocessed historical sales data; and inputting related data for predicting future sales of the product into the trained machine learning model to generatea prediction result. According to the method, an accurate sales prediction result can be output, and the inventory management cost of enterprise departments such as hospitals and medicinestores can be reduced according to the sales prediction result; and suppliers such as pharmaceutical factories can perform effective production arrangement according to reasonable prediction, so that the purchasing achievement rate is increased.
