The invention aims to solve the problems that the membrane flux of the existing vacuum membrane distillation device is influenced by membrane pollution, the distillation efficiency is further influenced, and water vapor separated by agas-liquid separator cannot be effectively utilized. The method comprises the following steps: hot fluid generated by evaporation of to-be-treated liquid enters the water vapor permeation chamber through the flat sheet membrane, then under the suction action of the vacuum pump, the gas enters the gas-liquid separator to be subjected to condensation phase change; the generated condensed water enters the liquid-phase separation and collection device through a lower outlet of the gas-liquid separator; generated hot steam enters the steam compressor through an upper outlet of the gas-liquid separator to be compressed and heated, and the compressed and heated hot steam enters the bottom of to-be-treated liquid in the raw material liquid chamber through a pipeline at the outlet end of the steamcompressor.
