The invention discloses a method for removing iron ions from a solution containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and iron. According to the method, glucose is added to the acidic solution containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and iron and evenly mixed, the molar ratio between the iron and the glucose is 0.2-2, after hydro-thermal treatment, sediments containing iron are formed at the bottom, the concentration of iron residues in supernatant is 20mg/L, and the retention rate of rare earth elements is higher than 97%. By the adoption of the method for removing iron ions from the solution containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and iron, the iron can be efficiently separated from the solution containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and iron, the problem that during rare earth solution purification, iron pollutes an extractant is solved, and the purity and utilization value of the rare earth elements in the solution are improved; the method is suitable for processing the rare earth solution and waste acidic solution containing a high concentration of iron, the rare earth retention efficiency is high, the concentration of residual iron in the solution is low, operation is easy, and the expense is low.
