Embodiment Construction

[0013] Wall plates with integrated charging components are described herein. The wall plate includes a rearwardly protruding socket connector to electrically couple the charging component with a power socket and a charging device. In some versions, the charging device may include wired or wireless connections. The wall plate may be secured to the power outlet or a structure adjacent thereto, thereby maintaining the charging component in electrical engagement with the power outlet. The wall panels may be secured to the structure using any suitable mechanism, such as by using fasteners, snap fits, and the like.

[0014] In one form, the charging member may include a cord extending outwardly from the wall to allow a user to physically connect the mobile electronic device to the charging member. In another form, the charging component may include a transmitter coil and associated components configured to inductively charge a mobile electronic device disposed adjacent to the wall...

Abstract

The present invention provides a wallboard charging system. The wallboard charging system comprises a wallboard with an integrated charging part. The wallboard includes a rearwardly projecting receptacle connector to electrically couple the charging component with a power receptacle and a charging device. The charging device can provide wired or wireless connection to charge a power supply of themobile electronic device. According to the present invention, the wallboard can be fastened to the power socket or a structure adjacent to the power socket, thereby keeping the charging part electrically connected with the power socket.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to plugs for electronic devices, and more particularly to retaining components for electrical outlets. Background technique [0002] As technology has advanced, the wires used to recharge and connect mobile devices have taken many forms. In one current form, the wire includes a connector at its first end configured to connect to a mobile device and another connector at a second end to connect to a power source or a second electronic device. One common connector for the second end is a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connector that allows the mobile device to connect to a computing device or power supply with a corresponding port. The USB connector can also be utilized in conjunction with an adapter to plug the mobile device into a wall outlet to recharge the mobile device. Disadvantageously, as the number of connections increases, the chance of one of the connections becoming unintentionally separated increases. C...
