The container type energy storage system comprises a box type shell, a fire-fighting alarm unit, a battery cluster control management unit, a battery cluster power unit, a battery cabin power external terminal, an air conditioner, a battery tray, a fire-fighting tank and a battery module, a mounting window is formed in the side wall ofthe end part of the box-type shell; the battery cluster control management unit, the battery cluster power unit and the fire alarm unit are embedded and fixedly mounted in the mounting window; the air conditioner is fixedly arranged on the outer side wall of the box-type shell; the battery compartment power external terminal is fixedly arranged at the lower part of the mounting window; a batteryrack is arranged in the box-type shell, and the battery trays are of multiple layers and are fixedly connected with the battery rack so as to support each layer of battery module; and the fire-fighting tank is arranged on a bottom plate of the box-type shell.
