Problems solved by technology

[0013] Unintentional or erroneous control pulses can thus be triggered, in particular if the vehicle cannot be reliably identified and / or positioned, or if the lane is temporarily only determined inaccurately and must then be corrected within a relatively short distance
Such control pulses can lead to relatively abrupt or easily misinterpreted changes in direction, in particular to so-called "wrong turns"
This can result in dangerous driving situations and / or in situations that negatively affect the effective or perceived driving behavior

Embodiment Construction

[0034] figure 1 A schematic top view of a first driving situation of vehicle 100 according to an embodiment of the disclosure is shown. In this exemplary first driving situation, vehicle 100 is on a road with two lanes 81 , 82 in the direction of travel (for example a motorway or a road with structurally separated traffic lanes).

[0035] Usually, for lateral guidance information is required about the road model of the own lane (here lane 82 ) and, if present, of the left lane (here lane 81 ) and the right lane (not present). The road model is generally determined essentially from detected lane markings or building features, the determined course of the lane center and information from the navigation data. In order to avoid an incorrect road model, the road model or the determination of the target guidance curve must be adjusted in the case of a problematic situation.

[0036] In the situation shown, the vehicle 100 is on the lane 82 and from time t 0 , t 1 and t 2 Begin ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for detecting a lane for a transverse guidance of a vehicle. The transverse guidance of the vehicle is based on a roadway model. The method has the steps of ascertaining one or more features which are suitable for influencing the detection of the lane; detecting a lane on the basis of a sensor system of the vehicle; and ascertaining the roadway model on the basisof the detected lane and the ascertained one or more features. The method optionally has the steps of additionally receiving navigation data and transversely guiding the vehicle on the basis of the ascertained roadway model. The invention additionally relates to a system configured for carrying out the method according to the invention and to a vehicle which comprises the system.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for lane recognition. In particular, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for lane recognition for lateral guidance of automated vehicles. Background technique [0002] Lane keeping systems and methods are known in the prior art for vehicles, in particular automated vehicles, which use optical sensors, such as cameras, in order to recognize lanes using lane markings and architectural elements. The system and the method are provided for outputting a warning or even actively intervening in the steering when the vehicle is about to leave the lane in which it is currently driving. The term "vehicle" includes cars, vans, buses, motorhomes, motorcycles, and the like, which are used to transport people, goods, and the like. In particular, the term includes motor vehicles used for the transport of people. [0003] The term "automated driving" is to be understood within the scope of this ...
