Embodiment Construction

[0013] Various implementations in accordance with the present disclosure relate to providing enhanced and optimized product information during non-destructive testing (NDT). In this regard, as mentioned above, NDT products can be used in conjunction with non-destructive testing. For example, non-destructive testing of certain types of articles may require the application (e.g., by spraying or injection) of an article-under-test material configured to perform non-destructive testing (such as based on having particular magnetic properties, visual properties, etc., suitable for non-destructive testing). . Such an NDT product may be supplied or provided in a suitable manner (for example, packaged in a can or similar container), which may be obtained and applied to the article under test when required. In some cases, it may be desirable to obtain information about the NDT product or about the batch containing the particular NDT product being used. The present disclosure provides ...

Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for enhanced non-destructive testing (NDT) product labels and use thereof. An example label may be configured for application to non destructive testing (NDT) products, with the label including a readable code that incorporates information relating to a particular NDT product sample. The information uniquely identifies the NDT product sample and / or a batch that includes the NDT product sample. An example system may include a reader configured for reading machine-readable code incorporated into a label applied to an NDT product, and circuitry configured for processing data obtained from the machine-readable code. The circuitry may extract based on the processing, information relating to the NDT product, the information including a unique product identifier and / or a unique batch identifier. The circuitry may then trigger based on the unique product identifier and / or the unique batch identifier, actions associated with the NDT product and / or use of the NDTproduct.

Description

[0001] priority claim [0002] This patent application is by reference to, claims priority to, and claims the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 62 / 634,426, filed February 23, 2018, and U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 16 / 281,832, filed February 21, 2019 . The entire contents of US Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 62 / 634,426 and US Patent Application Serial No. 16 / 281,832 are incorporated herein by reference. Background technique [0003] Non-destructive testing (NDT) is used to evaluate the properties and / or characteristics of materials, components and / or systems without causing damage or altering the item being tested. Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a very valuable technique that can save cost and / or time when used for product evaluation, troubleshooting and research. Frequently used nondestructive testing methods include magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, radiography, ultrasound,...
