The hair cutting assembly comprises a cutting unit support member (102, 720) and at least two cutting units (106, 108, 110, 722, 724, 726), wherein each cutting unit has an external cutting member (112, 728) and an internal cutting member which is rotatable relative to the external cutting member about an axis of rotation (x), the external cutting member having an annular cutting zone (114) comprising hair-entry openings (116, 728a) provided at least in a main annular wall (115) of the cutting zone, and wherein each cutting unitis pivotable relative to the cutting unit support member.
