Abstract

The invention discloses a pixel detector and a distributed front-end analog-to-digital conversion and reading circuit and method thereof. The circuit comprises a ramp voltage generator, a ramp voltagebuffer and a plurality of in-pixel analog-to-digital conversion and reading circuits, wherein the ramp voltage generator is connected with the ramp voltage buffer, and the ramp voltage is fanned intoa comparator in each pixel; each in-pixel analog-to-digital conversion and reading circuit comprises a sampling and holding circuit, a comparator and a counter, and the sampling and holding circuit is connected with one input end of the comparator; the other input end of the comparator is connected with the oblique wave voltage buffer; the output end of the comparator is connected with the firstinput end of the counter to control the counting of the counter to be stopped; the second input end of the counter is used for receiving a clock signal, the third input end of the counter receives a counting/shifting control signal, the fourth input end of the counter receives a counter output signal in a previous pixel, and the output end of the counter is connected with the input end of the counter in a next pixel.
