Problems solved by technology

[0006] However, the format of the MAC CE for BFR (or called MAC CE for BFRQ) has not been determined yet
In addition, the triggering and canceling conditions for beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) and SR-like (SR-LIKE) indications have not been clearly defined
In addition, when the physical uplink control channel (physical uplink control channel, PUCCH) used for class SR indication is used for regular SR, physical random access channel (physical random access channel, PRACH) or physical uplink shared channel (physical uplink When the PUCCH of shared channel (PUSCH) overlaps, the priority rules have not been clearly defined

Abstract

An apparatus detects a beam failure of a serving cell. In response, the apparatus triggers a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ). The BFRQ remains to be decided until being canceled. In triggering the BFRQ, the apparatus generates a BFRQ Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) and transmits the MAC CE of the BFR to a wireless network using a resource in accordance with an Uplink (UL) grant. According to the invention, the occurrence of the beam fault is quickly reported through the apparatus, and the beneficial effects of improving the reliability of the beam and reducing the interference time on communication when the beam fault occurs are achieved.

Description

[0001] cross reference [0002] This application is part of a non-provisional application claiming priority to U.S. Provisional Application No. 62 / 909,833, filed October 3, 2019, and U.S. Provisional Application No. 16 / 999,007, filed August 20, 2020. Provisional Patent Application, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. technical field [0003] The present invention relates generally to mobile communications and, more particularly, to beam failure recovery (BFR) procedures involving secondary cells (SCells) in mobile communications. Background technique [0004] Unless otherwise indicated, the approaches described in this section are not prior art to the claims that follow and are not admitted to be prior art by inclusion in this section. [0005] Currently, it has been agreed under the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) that if a user equipment (user equipment, UE) detects a beam failure of the SCell, the UE can report to the network in ...
