The steel ingot riser comprises a vertical cylinder portion at the upper end and a smooth transition portion at the lower end, wherein the smooth transition portion extends outwards. A cylinder space is arranged in the center of the vertical cylinder portion. The interior and the exterior of the smooth transition portion are each of a cone-shaped skirt-like structure with ridges. The steel ingot mold comprises the steel ingot riser. An ingot body is arranged at the lower end of the riser. Flanges are arranged outside the ingot body. The flanges outside the ingot body correspond to the ridges of the smooth transition portion of the riser.
