Abstract

The invention provides an air suspension assembly and a bellows for the same. The air suspension assembly includes a top portion and a bottom portion disposed on a central axis and spaced apart from each other. A bellows made of elastomeric material extends between a first end secured to the top and a second end secured to the bottom defining a chamber. The chamber extends between the top, the bottom, and the bellows for containing charge air, thereby controlling the pressure of the charge air based on the applied force. The bellows has an inner surface and an outer surface, and includes a plurality of convolutions extending between a first end and a second end. Each of the plurality of convolutions includes an inner convex portion and a pair of outer convex portions, each of the pair of outer convex portions having an outer convex portion thickness extending between the inner surface and the outer surface of the bellows.
