Abstract

The invention discloses a video coding algorithm optimization method based on parameter selection, and the method comprises the steps of: S1, carrying out the comprehensive analysis of rate distortion performance and coding complexity through R-D-T comprehensive performance evaluation indexes; S2, analyzing correlation among the parameters, quantitatively calculating coupling coefficients of the parameters, and sorting the parameters according to the coupling coefficients; and S3, through a parameter selection algorithm, obtaining a group of optimal parameter combinations in a first cycle. In the second cycle, coding time limitation is added on the basis of the first cycle, and on the basis of the rule that the smaller the value of the same parameter is, the shorter the coding time is, and on the basis of the optimal parameter combination obtained in the first cycle, the value of the parameter is increased or decreased by comparing the actual coding time with the target coding time, and the RDTscores are compared after different parameter adjustment so as to find out the parameter with the best comprehensive performance as the object of the parameter adjustment of the round until the target complexity is reached within the range allowed by the error.
