[0038] figure 1 A charging device 10 is shown for charging a replaceable battery pack 12 of a power tool (not shown). The use of replaceable battery packs for different power tools is well known to those skilled in the art and therefore will not be discussed in more detail here.

[0039] To charge the replaceable battery pack 12 , it is plugged with its electromechanical connection 14 into a corresponding electromechanical connection 14 of the charging device 10 , so that energy is transferred from the charging device 10 to the replaceable battery pack 12 . At the same time, data relating to charging parameters (eg temperature, state of charge, remaining capacity, etc.) and / or data relating to the state of health of the replaceable battery pack 12 can be transmitted via the electromechanical interface 14 . Those skilled in the art know that the battery pack, the charging device and the electromechanical interface 14 of the power tool are designed on the one hand to supply th...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for estimating the state of health of an exchangeable rechargeable battery (12), particularly an exchangeable rechargeable battery pack (12) for power tools, comprising at least the following method steps according to the invention: i. determining the residual capacity of the exchangeable rechargeable battery (12) during a charging process such that a first charge value (C1) is determined by measuring an off-load voltage (UI), as long as no current or only a minimum charging current (lC) is flowing, at least one further charge value (Cn) is determined by measuring the charging current (lCn) at defined time intervals (t2b, t2c), until the charging process is concluded and a total of the charge values determined (C1 + sigma nCn) is calculated; ii. determining the residual power capacity of the exchangeable rechargeable battery (12) during the charging process such that after a predefined battery voltage (UCT) has been reached, the charging current (lC, ICH, ICL) is briefly changed, and the specific battery voltage (UC, UC1, UC2) is measured, and an impedance (Z) of the exchangeable rechargeable battery (12) is calculated from the quotient of the difference between the measured charging currents (ICH - ICL) and battery voltages (UC1 - UC2). The invention further relates to a charger and to an exchangeable rechargeable battery for carrying out the method according to the invention.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for assessing the state of health of a replaceable battery (Wechselakkus), in particular a replaceable battery pack for an electric tool, and also to a charging device and a charging device for carrying out the method according to the class of the independent claim A replaceable battery. Background technique [0002] Rechargeable batteries (hereinafter also referred to as accumulators) are used in many fields; either they are permanently integrated in the device or as exchangeable accumulators or exchangeable accumulator packs. Manufacturers often offer replaceable batteries for specific applications. However, it also often happens that a replaceable battery of the same power class or voltage class can be used in a variety of different devices. This is especially the case in the field of power tools, household appliances and garden equipment. In the following text, the terms battery, accumulator, exchange accumulato...
