[0069] We consecutively enrolled 920 high-risk patients with essential hypertension, with a median follow-up time of 27.5 (23.3-32.9) months, and 82 of them had terminal event events (MACE). MACE was defined as the occurrence of cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, hospitalization for heart failure due to heart failure attack, ischemia-driven urgent revascularization, transient ischemic attack, ischemic stroke, or hemorrhagic stroke. Patients can be divided into event group (n=82 cases) and non-event group (n=838 cases) according to whether the primary endpoint event occurred. The plasma Cer(d18:1 / 16:0) concentration in the event group was higher than that in the non-event group [0.278±0.108 vs. 0.246±0.066μmol / L, P=0.008]. Abstract

The invention discloses application of ceramide in preparation of a kit for evaluating the risk of occurrence of adverse events of hypertension high-risk patients. The invention further discloses a kit for evaluating or assisting in evaluating the risk of cardiovascular adverse events of the high-risk hypertension patient. The kit comprises a product for detecting the content of ceramide in a biological sample of the high-risk hypertension patient. The kit further comprises a carrier recording the following judgment standards: for a hypertension high-risk patient, performing quartile on the plasma ceramide ratio, and judging that the patient has the rising risk of a cardiovascular event when the plasma ceramide ratio is at a higher third quantile; and when the plasma ceramide ratio is at a higher quartile, judging that the patient has the rising risk of the cardiovascular event; when the ceramide score -1 is greater than or equal to 7, or the CERT-HBP is greater than or equal to 3, judging that the patient has the rising risk of the cardiovascular event.
