The prediction system comprises an image acquiring unit, an image processing module, a temperature prediction module and an endpoint prediction module; the image acquiring unit is used for continuously acquiring original furnace mouth flame images; the image processing module is used for processing the continuously acquired original furnace mouth flame images; the temperature prediction module is used for predicting the in-furnace smelting temperature corresponding to each piece of feature data in a current furnace mouth flame feature data set; and the endpoint prediction module is used for predicting the blowing endpoint on the basis of the smelting endpoint temperature corresponding to a temperature change curve.
