Abstract

The invention discloses a face recognition method for a thermal infrared image with a mask and the application thereof. The method comprises the steps that a thermal infrared face image to be recognized is collected, the thermal infrared face image is input into a trained first convolutional neural network, and the first convolutional neural network is used for detecting whether the thermal infrared face image is a mask-worn image or not and detecting a face detection frame; inputting output data of the first convolutional neural network into a trained second convolutional neural network, wherein the second convolutional neural network is used for outputting a face detection image without a mask; and inputting the output data of the second convolutional neural network into a trained third convolutional neural network, wherein the third convolutional neural network is used for outputting a face recognition result. According to the invention, the accuracy of face recognition with the mask can be improved.
