Embodiment Construction

[0024] 1A, 1B and 2 illustrate an extrusion head 100 for additive manufacturing according to an embodiment of the present invention. The extrusion head 100 comprises a housing 110 which, in the example described here, consists of first and second semi-annular parts 111 and 112 which are attached together by clamping screws 113 . The housing 110 may specifically be made of steel. The extrusion head 100 includes an inlet port 120 surrounded by a fastening base plate 130 at its upper portion. The inlet port 120 will be connected at the outlet of the feeding device 200 ( FIG. 5 ), which is configured to feed the extrusion head a material to be extruded under pressure. The extrusion head is airtightly fastened to the supply device 200 via the fastening base plate 130 in which the high pressure gasket 131 is inserted.

[0025] Housing 110 defines a supply chamber 140 extending between inlet port 120 and dispensing outlet port 150 . More precisely, as shown in particular in FIGS. ...

Abstract

An extrusion head (100) for additive manufacturing comprises an enclosure (110) defining a supply chamber (140). The enclosure comprises at least an inlet port (120) opening onto the supply chamber (140), which is configured to receive a material to be extruded under pressure and a plurality of extrusion nozzles (160). Each nozzle is in communication with the supply chamber (140) and opens onto the exterior of the enclosure via an outlet orifice. The nozzles of the plurality of nozzles are arranged adjacent to one another with a determined spacing between each nozzle output orifice.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of additive manufacturing of components or coatings by depositing filaments of material placed side by side. Background technique [0002] Additive manufacturing or modeling of coatings or components by filament deposition involves extruding and depositing filaments of substance by placing them side by side on one or more layers. [0003] One of this type of manufacturing technique uses previously melted material, such as a thermoplastic, and is called Fused Filament Deposition or FDM (for "Fused Deposition Modeling") printing. The document US 5 121 329 specifically discloses the method and implementation equipment of this technique. [0004] This additive manufacturing technique can also be used with more viscous materials, such as thermoset materials that are deposited in the form of adjacent filaments that are then polymerized in an oven. [0005] However, for viscous materials, the deposition rate of strands or ...
