Abstract

The invention discloses an alarm processing method and device, and aims to solve the problem of resource waste caused by false detection of LOF alarms. Mechanisms are specifically provided to configure detection LOF pre-alarms. The detection condition of the LOF pre-alarm is that the framing failure is detected to last for a first duration. The detection condition of the LOF alarm is that framing failure is detected to last for a second duration. The second duration is smaller than the first duration. A network device performs a drop-down of the first maintenance signal frame in the event that the LOF pre-alarm is detected. The first maintenance signal frame supports framing. In other words, the network device receiving the first maintenance signal frame can perform normal frame determination and does not report alarm, for example, LOF alarm is not triggered.
