Abstract

The invention discloses a home network diagnosis method and system based on WiFi. The method comprises the following steps that: a fault home gateway (HGW) sends a WiFi connection establishment request to a peripheral HGW; the peripheral HGW establishes a secure encrypted connection with the failed home gateway HGW; the fault home gateway HGW sends fault information to the peripheral HGW; the peripheral HGW forwards the fault information to a cloud management platform; and the cloud management platform analyzes and processes the fault information to diagnose the fault. The invention further provides a corresponding diagnosis system. The system comprises a home gateway HGW WiFi module; an operation and maintenance public network module of the peripheral HGW; and a diagnosis analysis module of the cloud management platform.
