The invention discloses a structure health monitoring system and method for a magnetic fiber composite material. The structure health monitoring system comprises a magnetic fiber sensor, a to-be-monitored part, a signal excitation module, a signal acquisition module and signal processing equipment, wherein the magnetic fiber sensor is fixed on the to-be-monitored part, and the magnetic fiber sensor and the to-be-monitored part jointly form a magnetic fiber composite material. The magnetic fiber sensor comprises one or more of a magnetic fiber strain sensor, a magnetic fiber curvature sensor and a magnetic fiber impact monitoring sensor; the signal acquisition module is connected with the signal processing equipment, and the signal processing device is externally connected with the data processing and evaluation module and the storage module. The system is based on the magnetic fiber sensor, integration is carried out through electric signal response, the monitoring cost and the integration difficulty can be reduced, meanwhile, the system has the advantages of being high in real-time performance, capable of achieving long-distance transmission, high in integration and expansion and the like, and application of the system and the structure health monitoring technology based on magnetic fiber sensing is facilitated.
