Abstract

The method comprises the steps that a fast channel change (FCC) server receives a channel change request sent by playing equipment for changing to a target channel; the FCC server judges whether a time interval between a live broadcast point of the target channel and the nearest random access point exceeds a preset threshold value or not; if yes, the FCC server obtains a transcoding media stream capable of being independently decoded according to the live broadcast point and a Group of Picture (GOP) corresponding to the live broadcast point; and the FCC server sends the transcoding media stream and an original media stream behind the transcoding media stream and connected with the transcoding media stream to the playing equipment.
